Real Madrid manager, Xabi Alonso, could sanction a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface.
The Athletic reports that the LaLiga giants are in the market for a Joselu-style striker.
They want to sign a player who could be signed for a low transfer fee and would accept a secondary role.
However, the player must be effective off the bench when needed.
Alonso, who replaced Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu this summer, has made a direct request to the club’s hierarchy.
The Spaniard has worked with similar profiles of player while he was Leverkusen boss, such as Victor Boniface and Borja Iglesias.
Madrid are believed to be keen on meeting Alonso’s request ahead of the new season.
