Benue Killings: Bobrisky calls out Senators as ‘shameless’

Controversial Nigerian media personality Bobrisky has lashed out at lawmakers in the wake of the recent Benue massacre, describing senators and members of the House of Representatives as “shameless.”

In a now-viral post, Bobrisky criticised the National Assembly for their silence and perceived inaction over the killings of over 200 people in Benue State.

The senators/representatives didn’t call an urgent meeting over the killings happening in Benue, but they can call urgent meetings when it comes to Bobrisky. Shame!! Shame!! Shame!!

The transwoman, who has been at the centre of several recent legal controversies, further expressed disbelief at the government’s lack of response to the crisis.

Mtchew, what a shameful country. So those killing innocent people don’t know the way to Abuja to meet the shameless old men, so it’s four people that should be suffering everything? Nigeria is a mess

His remarks tap into growing frustrations over Nigeria’s worsening security crisis, with celebrities and activists increasingly speaking out. Stars like Falz, 2Baba, Kate Henshaw, Mr Macaroni, among others, also condemned the government’s response, calling for accountability and urgent action.

Falz voiced strong criticism of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, accusing it of incompetence and silence in the face of mass violence. While the Federal Government has issued general statements of condolence, many citizens argue that tangible action and accountability remain missing.
