Second victim of Iranian missile strike identified as Etti Cohen Engel

Authorities have identified Etti Cohen Engel, a resident of Ramat Gan, as the second confirmed fatality in the recent wave of Iranian missile attacks on Israel.

Engel was killed when a ballistic missile struck a residential area in Ramat Gan near Tel Aviv late Friday night. An aerial image from the scene shows significant damage to buildings caused by the impact.

Earlier, officials named 73-year-old Yisrael Aloni as another victim, who died in a separate strike on Rishon Lezion.

A third person was also confirmed dead in the same attack, but their identity has not yet been released to the public.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, IDF, approximately 200 ballistic missiles were launched from Iran overnight.

While the majority were intercepted by Israeli air defense systems, around 25% fewer than 50 missiles were not intercepted.

Most of those were intentionally allowed to fall in open areas to avoid collateral damage.

However, a small number of missiles managed to breach defense lines and struck residential zones in central cities, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, and Rishon Lezion.

Officials say at least 70 people sustained injuries from the attacks.
