Gateway United have been relegated from the Nigeria National League, NNL, DAILY POST reports.
The Abeokuta-based club suffered a 3-0 defeat to Godswill Akpabio FC on the final day of the 2025 NNL season in Uyo.
Gateway United recorded six wins, five draws, and nine defeats in 20 NNL matches in Group B.
The setback brings an end to their 15-year stay in the second-tier league.
Gateway United will compete in the Nationwide League One, NLO, next season.
“The journey takes a detour, but the dream lives on,” Gateway United stated after the game.
