15 Palestinians killed near Gaza Aid Center – Local medics

Medics in Gaza say at least 15 Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire near an aid distribution site backed by the Israel- and US-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, GHF, located close to the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.

The fatalities were reported by medical personnel at Al-Awda and Al-Aqsa hospitals.

The timing of the incident remains unclear, and the report has not been independently verified. There has been no immediate comment from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) or the GHF regarding the claims.

According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, at least 274 people have been killed and over 2,000 injured near aid distribution points since the GHF began operations in the enclave. These figures also remain unverified.

DAILY POST reported that earlier this month, the IDF designated the routes leading to GHF sites as closed military zones between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., warning civilians to stay away during those hours.

However, GHF operations have occasionally continued during that time, contributing to confusion on the ground.

The GHF has drawn criticism from aid organizations, the United Nations, and various governments, who argue that the foundation’s operations have not adequately addressed the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Some have accused it of exposing civilians to unnecessary risks, with several deadly incidents reported near distribution zones in recent days.

Israeli authorities maintain that the GHF mechanism is essential to ensure humanitarian aid does not fall into the hands of Hamas.
