ĹPPMC calls for national coalition to rescue Nigeria from failed administration

The Liberal Progressive and Patriotic Members Congress, LPPMC, says it stands firmly with the growing national coalition of progressive forces, civil society organizations, and opposition parties united to liberate Nigeria from the oppressive and disastrous administration and governance.

Dr Kingsley Okundaye, National Coordinator of LPPMC, in a statement said, “Nigeria is plunged into unprecedented economic hardship, insecurity, and institutional decay. The Naira has collapsed, fuel prices have skyrocketed, millions face hunger, and terrorists operate freely while the government shows neither competence nor compassion over the years.

“The PDP and APC’s legacy is one of broken promises, corruption, and sheer incompetence, a betrayal of the mandate Nigerians entrusted to them since the inception of democracy in 1999.”

The LPPMC recognizes that only a united opposition can defeat an entrenched ruling party that manipulates state power and resources to suppress dissent, stressing that history proves that in 2015, despite the then-ruling PDP’s control over federal might, a coalition of opposition parties and movements ousted an incumbent president through the power of unity.

“Today, we face a similar battle, but the stakes are higher. The already existing weaponized poverty, division, and state machinery to cling to power, but the Nigerian people are waking up. LPPMC hereby declares its full commitment and participation in this rescue mission and urges all progressive Nigerians to join forces under this coalition,” Okundaye explained.

He stated that LPPMC is a movement of patriots committed to a Nigeria that works for all, not just a privileged few and called on all opposition parties to set aside differences and unite for victory.

He also called on labour unions, student groups, and civil society to mobilize for mass action, and urged the media to hold power accountable and amplify the people’s voice as well every suffering Nigerian to rise, resist, and vote for liberation in 2027.

According to him, “Government may have the money, but we have the masses. They may have propaganda, but we have the truth. They may try to rig, but we will defend every vote.”

The National Coordinator believesw that the 2027 election will be Nigeria’s redemption day. The coalition is unstoppable, the people are ready, and change is inevitable.
