Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser al-Khelaifi, has jibed at Real Madrid attacker, Kylian Mbappe, following his side UEFA Champions League victory.
PSG won the UEFA Champions League 12 months after the France national team captain left the team for Real Madrid.
They are only the second League 1 club to win Europe’s premier competition.
Speaking in a recent interview with Al-Kass Sport, the Qatari football administrator said as quoted by Goal, “It’s easier to score goals in La Liga than in Ligue 1.”
He hailed the club’s boss, Luis Enrique, for proudly representing the French top flight league against Premier League fans who called it the ‘farmer’s league’.
“We ended up beating Manchester City, Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal in the Champions League this season.”
According to him, no one gave a chance to reach such a level and even win the title.
Mbappe remains the club’s record goal scorer with 256 goals and 108 assists in 308 appearances since he arrived in 2018.
