Former Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel has handed his old club three signings to make ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup starting next weekend.
Chelsea are among the clubs that will participate in the expanded edition if the Club World Cup this year.
The Blues will enter the competition after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League last season and also qualifying for the Champions League after finishing in the Premier League top four.
The Premier League west London club have already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town this summer.
However, Obi Mikel still wants Chelsea to bring in a new winger, midfielder and an experienced centre-back.
“I am excited by the business the club has done. But if we can go again and win the [FIFA] Club World Cup, they [Chelsea’s co-sporting directors – Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart ] can bring in more money and spend,” Mikel told Metro.
“Bring in an experienced centre-back, another midfield player and another winger.
“Jadon Sancho is going back to Manchester United, if we can bring in another winger who can create chances and score goals, because that’s what we [Chelsea] need.”
