Plateau United technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut says there is significant improvement in his team’s performance following the matchday 34 win over Akwa United.
The Peace Boys defeated Akwa United 1-0 at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
Mbwas admitted that the season has been complicated for his team following their poor start to the campaign.
He said the players need to be commended for a shift in mentality which has helped their performance.
“This team is improving, this season has been so complicated and the players have been running into so many games which could be a factor affecting their performance,” Mbwas told the club’s media.
“The points deduction, playing at home with lack of full support from the fans all this also affected the boys.
“It takes a lot of courage for a player to stand firm and express himself. It happens in great teams. In a few years you will be surprised to see the same players doing what Plateau United are doing now.
“At one point, we went five games unbeaten which helped us in NM our standing in the league table, what the fans expected from us now is to improve more.”
