Ozoemena Ani will miss Enyimba’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 33 clash against Sunshine Stars due to injury.
Ani limped off during the People’s Elephant’s last match against Abia Warriors in Aba last weekend.
Technical Adviser Stanley Eguma said that although the shot-stopper has resumed training, he is not fit for the game.
“Ani has returned to training, but he won’t be part of the team that will play Sunshine Stars on Sunday in Ijebu Ode,” Eguma told Completesports.
“Yes, he has recovered and resumed training. I don’t want to rush him. I want to give him time to regain full fitness before he starts keeping in matches.”
Enyimba have managed only two wins from their last five matches, while Sunshine Stars are winless in their last five.
Eguma’s side occupy eighth position on the league table with 46 points.
Sunshine Stars sit in 19th position with 35 points.
