Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer, has predicted some of the Premier League fixtures to be played this weekend.
It was a mixed week for some of the English clubs in Europe, but they will be looking to finish the domestic campaign well.
Arsenal, who thrashed Real Madrid 3-0, will host Brentford. Liverpool can take a step closer to the title with victory over West Ham.
The race for Champions League qualification between at least four clubs is also hotting up.
Shearer told BetFair: “Arsenal vs Brentford – Because of injuries and the mentality which both teams will have, I’m going to go for a draw. I just think that you wouldn’t be human if you weren’t thinking about Wednesday and Real Madrid. Prediction: Draw.
“Chelsea vs Ipswich – It was a terrible result for Ipswich last week against Wolves – they had to win that to give themselves any chance. They didn’t and capitulated in the second-half. Prediction: Chelsea win.
“Newcastle vs Man Utd – Man Utd have to do something in that competition (Europa League) and it’s in between, with them playing on the Thursday they’ll have their minds on that again. Prediction: Newcastle win.”
