Barcelona are reportedly eyeing Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman.
Lookman is expected to leave Atalanta at the end of the season.
However, according to Spanish sports daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona appreciate the Super Eagles player’s quality but he is not the first or second candidate on the list of wingers they are targeting in the summer transfer window.
Lookman has made it clear that his top priority is to leave Atalanta this summer.
This follows his clash with Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini over a missed penalty during the second half of the Champions League match against Club Brugge.
Few weeks ago, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Lookman is expected to leave Atalanta this summer.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are looking to bolster their attack for next season, with the Nigeria international emerging as a potential target, alongside players like Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and Liverpool star Luis Díaz.
Lookman’s current deal with Atalanta will expire in the summer of 2026.
And as a result, Atalanta might decide to cash in on the 27-year-old at the end of the season to prevent the risk of losing him for free.
Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in August 2022.
He is currently on international duty with Super Eagles of Nigeria as they prepare to take on Zimbabwe in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
