Former Liverpool midfielder, Jamie Redknapp has singled out three Chelsea players for criticism following their Premier League 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday night.
Enzo Fernandez gave Chelsea the lead in the first half at Villa Park.
But a brace from Marco Asensio gave Unai Emery’s side all three points against the visitors.
During the encounter, Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen was guilty of making an error for Asensio’s second goal with the ball squirming through his body.
However, Redknapp hit out Jorgensen along with Chelsea’s two defenders Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo after the game, insisting that they made ‘horrendous mistakes.’
Speaking about Jorgensen on Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “He [Asensio] gets a good connection on it but like you say, he [Jorgensen] won’t want to see that again.
“It’s awful goalkeeping. And they’ve obviously had a problem because both of them [Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez] have made horrendous mistakes this year.
“He hits it through. He’s got a lot of time to see it. He’s watching it, he’s watching it. I mean, it’s just horrible.
“It’s horrible for him. It’s just one of those. I mean, I can only imagine how he feels in that dressing room now that everyone makes mistakes.”
Chelsea currently sit in the 6th position on the Premier League table with 43 points after the Aston Villa game.
The Blues will face Southampton in their next Premier League clash on Tuesday.
