The exact nature of the 23-year-old’s injury has yet to be disclosed by the Belgian Pro League champions.
DAILY POST reports that Super Eagles stars Semi Ajayi and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru also sustained injuries this weekend.
Ajayi suffered a hamstring injury in West Brom’s 2-0 win over Oxford United on Saturday.
Dele-Bashiru picked up an ankle injury in Lazio’s goalless draw with Venezia, also on Saturday.
The injuries will be a concern for new Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe next month.
