Tinubu pushing anti-Igbo policies – IPOB alleges, reiterates commitment to ending insecurity

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday accused President Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress of keying into the anti-Igbo policies of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

IPOB made the remark while emphasizing its commitment towards ending insecurity in the Southeast.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, IPOB gave the Nigerian government conditions to end insecurity in the Southeast.

IPOB demanded the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu from prolonged detention by the Nigerian government.

It also demanded the setting up of an international panel of inquiry led by the United States to probe the case of insecurity in the Southeast.

According to IPOB: “Under President Tinubu, the APC government continues Buhari’s anti-Igbo policies, suppressing dissent and fueling ethnic tensions. Media complicity in this repression is a betrayal of truth and justice.

“IPOB reiterates its commitment to ending insecurity in the East and demands, the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from illegal detention by the Nigerian and UK governments.

“An international panel of inquiry, led by the United States, to investigate the root causes of insecurity in Igboland and expose the true culprits.

“We call on the international community to hold the Nigerian government accountable for its manipulative tactics and human rights abuses.

“The pursuit of a referendum is not terrorism—it is a democratic right. The world must see through Nigeria’s lies and stand with the truth.”
