The family of the late nonagenarian, Pa E.K. Clark, has clarified that no individual or group has been authorized to solicit support or arrange his burial without their direct involvement.
In a statement signed by Mr. Panaowei Clark, Chief Ebikeme Clark, and Miss Emomotimi Clark, the family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of condolences and support from the Federal Government, state governors, socio-cultural groups, and well-wishers following their patriarch’s passing on February 17, 2025.
The family acknowledged Pa Clark’s national stature, recognizing that his burial requires coordinated efforts.
However, they emphasized that any arrangements must include the family’s direct participation.
They warned against unauthorized individuals or groups engaging with government bodies or organizations on their behalf.
While awaiting discussions with relevant stakeholders to finalize burial plans, the family appealed for public cooperation and reiterated their appreciation for the support received.
