The Lafia City Stadium will undergo a major upgrade ahead of the 2025/26 season, DAILY POST reports.
The stadium is the home ground of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Nasarawa United.
The NPFL recently directed all clubs participating in the 2025/26 season to upgrade their stadium facilities.
Clubs that failed to adhere strictly to the directive would be forced to play their home matches on a neutral venue, according to the league body.
The NPFL have demanded for a standard playing surface, approved and functional standard LED floodlights for night matches, and provision of back-up generator to provide alternative source of power supply.
The new season will kick-off on Friday, 22 August.
