Abakaliki FC have described their Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday 20 defeat to Godswill Akpabio FC a painful loss.
The Rice Boys suffered a 1-0 defeat to Godswill Akpabio FC at the Uyo Township Stadium on Sunday.
Abakaliki FC occupy bottom spot on the NNL Group B table with 17 points from 18 matches.
The Ebonyi-based club remain optimistic of escaping relegation with two matches remaining this season.
“A tough loss to Godswill Akpabio FC. Not really the desired result, but we give God all the glory,” Abakaliki FC stated after the game.
“All hope is not lost yet.”
Abakaliki FC will trade tackles with Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC in their next game.
